Koukou Hoshi Kageki (高校星歌劇, High School Star Musical^?) or Star-Myu (スタミュ, Sutamyu^?), is a Japanese original anime television series produced by C-Station and NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan. Sequel to the first season, the second season was announced during the event of Star-Myu in Culture Festival and is to be broadcasted during Spring 2017. The anime premiered in Japan on April 3, 2017. The season ended with a special encore episode consisting of all the musical scenes of season 2 compiled.

The opening theme is "SHOW MUST GO ON!!" by Fourpe（cv.urashimasakatasen）and the ending theme is "Gift" by Team Otori.

The second season will focus on Hoshitani and the others in their second year of high school.

The third season was announced to be broadcast in 2019 during 「Star-Myu」Fes. 2017 event.

Introduction

"I don't know how to give up on my dreams…"

Hoshitani Yuta, who enrolled in the prestigious Ayanagi Gakuen for music entertainment, passed the first-year test to become a musical department student in his second year. However, the new school year immediately presents new trials for the returning students.

The first task on the second-year curriculum is supporting the graduation stage performance of Otori and the other graduating Kao Council members. There are five roles known as "second-year training roles" in the legendary musical Shadow & Lights.

Every year, a team of only five second-year students get to step on stage as performers in the musical. It is a great honor for the musical department students, to co-star with their respected former leaders. To earn a ticket to glory, Hoshitani and 24 other new musical department students take on the training auditions.

At that moment, the coming-of-age slapstick musical story raises the curtains once more.

It was clear that Hoshitani became a Musical Department Student. Hence moving on to the next year, along with the other teams' members who were their rivals so far. Trying to deepen his friendship, with new classmates such as Team Yuzuriha's leader・Ageha, with each of them having their own little quirks...... On the other hand, the 2nd year Musical first Curriculum has been announced. That is, to support the graduation commemorative performance which the previous Kao Council stars in. Now, a new curtain rises!
2		Act 2 Dai 2 Maku (第２幕)	10 April 2017
Special Coach・Ancient coaching begins. Hoshitani and the others' challenge is the traditional performance, Musical『Shadow＆Lights』5 ≪2nd year training roles≫roles audition. In order to co-star with their former leaders, each team starts to strategize. Meanwhile, the Ancients have been given a "mission" from Haruto who is on a Broadway Expedition......?
3		Act 3 Dai 3 Maku (第３幕)	17 April 2017
While the role training by the Ancient is conducted, Hoshitani who does not have acting skills gets a special and strict guidance from Uozumi the Demon Coach. Tatsumi and Sawatari, asks Hoshitani 「Would you like to the club activity festival in Ayanagi Gakuen's middle school division for a change of pace?」. In the middle of the festive mood, Hoshitani encounters--? And, what accident did Hoshitani get into--!?
4		Act 4 Dai 4 Maku (第４幕)	24 April 2017
Hoshitani was told by Ageha that he is「Not the same as him」, becomes depressed all the time. As Hoshitani suffers from「Differentiating the difference」, Team Hiragi, points out that Hoshitani is lacking many aspects as an actor. On the other hand, Tengenji is set to appear on the stage of Kabuki, which is his main job. Hoshitani and the others who got invited, witnessed the appearance of Tengenji as a professional actor and is keenly aware of their difference.
5		Act 5 Dai 5 Maku (第５幕)	1 May 2017
Influenced by Ageha's perfectly copied version of Older brother・Haruto's performance, Tsukigami begins to slump. After seeing it, Uozumi makes a proposal against Tsukigami and Hoshitani. 「You guys, switch roles with each other」 Tsukigami who was appointed the most difficult role for the team cannot be convinced, when it comes down to Uozumi. With a discord tone, it begins to spread among the others who witness the situation――.
6		Act 6 Dai 6 Maku (第６幕)	8 May 2017
Haruto who was on a Broadway Expedition suddenly returns home, and the company became noiser. Downpouring the exciement of Hoshitani and the others, the Ancient declares there will be a large scale training camp for 3 weeks. However, the menu for the first day of the training camp is somewhat different from what they imagined to be――. 「There will be rewards for those who have worked hard」 Indeed, what rewards are prepared for Hoshitani and the others――!?
7		Act 7 Dai 7 Maku (第７幕)	15 May 2017
Hoshitani finally knows the identity of the 『Aspirating High School Student』. As he was someone that he could not even imagined to be, he starts behaving unrestlessly suspicious. Meanwhile, Ageha feels excited to meet the 『God』 he longs for. However, Haruto who saw the performance of Ageha comments unexpectedly. With various thoughts intermingled, the Ancient's selection of the ≪Training roles≫, is about to be decided.
8		Act 8 Dai 8 Maku (第８幕)	22 May 2017
Shocked by Haruto's denial, Ageha refuses to come out of his room and attend practice. Even though Hoshitani wants to encourage him as a friend who is aiming for the same role, he could not step in with his usual tone. 「Hoshitani-kun too, has a partner that you can't deal with」. Listening to Nayuki's words, he realises that Ageha's existence is special, hence Hoshitani――.
9		Act 9 Dai 9 Maku (第９幕)	29 May 2017
The moment where the announcement of the results of the training role audition is approaching. Being close friends with Hoshitani, Nayuki supports him, and encouraging during practice when they encourage each other, even when the audition became an individual battle instead of team, with more personal level emphasized, uneasiness starts to be felt. At the same time, someone also feels uneasy in the same way as him.......
10		Act 10 Dai 10 Maku (第10幕)	5 June 2017
Instead of Hiragi, Hoshitani was chosen to play as Lambert. Unexpectedly he will play alongside the 『Aspirating High School Student』, and goes to practice with excitement and tension, but when he sang the duet 『Shadow＆Lights』 with Otori―― Hoshitani lost his voice. Not knowing the cause of his slump Hoshitani is confused. And towards his former pupil, Otori could not speak out for some reason. While the company are all contemplating, that day, Hoshitani disappears――.
11		Act 11 Dai 11 Maku (第11幕)	12 June 2017
The Commemoration Graduation Performance is coming. The practice is entering the final stage. Holding the "Treasures" that he received from his friends, now, Hoshitani stands on the big stage, with gentle looks from Kuga. In fact for Kuga, he held special feelings for Hoshitani which have yet to be revealed. During the Training Role Auditions, Team Otori has been doing giving their best in their own place. Collecting the bonds of five people, forming a circle.「We are Stardust!!!!!」
12		Act 12 Dai 12 Maku (第12幕)	19 June 2017
Hoshitani is injured in a crash accident. Although he received emergency treatment, he can't raise hist arm due to the pain. An actor should not be on the stage if his state is not perfect, as Uozumi highly encourages for him to depart in the middle, making it a very diffcult decision for Hoshitani. Meanwhile, Otori who has heard of Hoshitani's situation makes a urgent decision. 「If you speak up, Hoshitani may not give up......」 Will Hoshitani's dreams come true? Now once again the final act!
