Hey YukiMuzic! I'm TyA and I'm an Anime Wiki Manager for Fandom. With season 3 coming out next week, we were wondering if you would be okay with myself and some of the anime content team helping out? This includes things like adding new content and updating the main page.
We've also found a lot of content on YouTube of the various songs performed in the series, and would like to double check that they're all listed on their appropriate articles.
We are also curious about your thoughts on the wiki's theme. Are you happy with it? If interested, I can help update the wiki's theme as well.
Only thoughts I had on the theme was maybe trying to feature a few of the main characters in the background. Is there any "main" guys in the series, or are they all pretty much equally represented in the series?
Unfortunately despite generally being a fan of idol series, the only male idol show I've seen has been the idolm@ster: sidem and dream festival, so I haven't seen this one.
Also, I notice the sitename is "SutaMyu Wikia" rather than "StarMyu Wiki". I notice SutaMyu is the romanization of the katakana for the name, but it doesn't seem to be used as much as the other. Is it okay to change the sitename, or would you prefer it stays as it is?
Hi YukiMuzic, just wanted to give you a heads up that I have added a "Characters" section to the wiki's main page showing off the 5 teams from the series as we believe having some sort of character navigation on the main page will be quite helpful for viewers, as previous navigation content on the main page was pretty low.
Do you have any opinions on it? I'm kinda worried it might be a little long, but I didn't want to cut any of the main teams out.
You can cut some out as a number of them are actually background characters that do not speak at all. The ones who are the main are from team otori, team hiragi, kitahara, nanjo, ageha and hachiya.
Hi Yuki, recently I've seen some profanity and crude language in the comments on here and I'd like to ask for your opinion on this matter. Is it necessary to deal with this? or not? Examples are in the comment section of Inumine, Kitahara and Uozumi's pages.
Excuse me. Could I talk to you about a proposal?
I'm from Argentina and I know a lot of people that love starmyu and they don't understand english. And you're de admi of sutamyu wikia. So, I think iabout the possibility of collaborating with you making a forum in Spanish. Because your forum is the most complete. So, what do you think? Do you like this proposal!?!? I hope that you will be interested in this idea...
Hi Yuki! Can I request for the new pages Flash Game and SD to be added into the "Others" tab in the Main Navigation bar? Also would you consider making a page for the Official Free Fan Club "Star Box" (星箱) ?
Hi Alexis. Can we rename the SD page? Currently, the page feels weird. It would be better to change it to the komas instead of SD. For the flash game, I'll rename it to the game's name instead in case there are any future flash games. Once the changes are made, I'll add them to the others tab. For the fan club, I don't think I'll make a page for it. Instead, we can put a section for it under the anime.
I just realized that koma is not appropriate for it. I think you can call it Chibi Artworks instead. Of course, this means that an others page will have to be made to explain the pages under it's tab. I find it strange that you made an SD page. Usually, there is no page for SD works.
I think Aokita Ren draws a lot for Star-Myu and deserves recognition. But all the art pieces are scattered everywhere. I just thought it would be great to have a place to demonstrate all of their work related to Star-Myu.
If it's possible, please change it to a more appropriate name, thanks. On Aokita Ren's Twitter profile they say they're "Star-Myu official SD artist" so I just went with it.
I know the page is just a stub right now but I'll try my best collecting all the chibi series listed there. I already have them, actually, but they are low quality, so I don't want to add them just yet.
But if this page turns out to be unnecessary, please remove it after all. I don't have much experience with Wikia so I don't know which is necessary. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your feedback, Yuki!
I've renamed SD to SD Art to clarify the name a bit better. The flash game name will remain as it is due to the long name. Will change if there are any future flash games. I've added them to the others tab.
I was just looking through the wiki and was wondering about the drama cds that came with the dvds, like Sutamyu Midterm Exams: Do you think they count as drama cds and can have their own page/tab on the CD page? For content, either you or I could translate the official Twitter's promotional tweets (ex. https://twitter.com/hstar_mu/status/689405148641165312 ) or find someone who can translate the cds.
Also, do you think 'Angel Lost' and the Original Sound Track 1 should get their own pages as well? kuzutetsu-no-kakashi posted lyrics for 'Angel Lost' and the video you just posted has the track listing for the OST.
I'm not sure about the drama cd as of yet since I do not know the amount of content there is. I'll confirm once I gotten my hands on them. I should be receiving them within this month. Most likely they will have their own pages, just that I dunno if they will be placed in the CD section or not.
Lost Angel's lyrics can be placed in DVD2 since there isn't much content for it. The OST will have it's own page once it is released. I'm not sure if track listing is fully confirmed yet. There's also the ones in DVD 4 that is yet to be announced yet.
I was just wondering about the colour-coded lyrics to the song Quintet. The 4 line is coloured in Tengenji's colour but isn't that part sang by Kuga? Similarly, Tengenji bit after Nayuki (くじけそうな時なら いっそ
its great seeing such an organised wiki. haha. I have a few suggestions for some of the pages on the wiki:
for the lyrics, to keep it in shape and to get rid of the coding box thing, i suggest we put in the code <poem></poem> so it'll look pretty neat, as thats what the wiki i frequently edit on uses~
another suggestion is that we should make individual pages for the episodes, as well as making an infobox for the episode so we can include things such as trivias, synopsis, character appearances such and such.
I would also like to suggest to add the audio files onto the album pages for users to listen easily.
Poem is a nice idea, so I'll test that out on a page before implementing the code as standard.
I agree with the episode idea and was actually planning on doing that back at episode 2, but decided to hold back on the creation.
As for audio files, we might run into a bit of an issue with copyright. Although a great idea, I'm unsure how strict Universal would be about even about samples of the songs. I've only dealt with Pony Canyon so far.
For the audio files, as for copyright, quite a few other wikis have been doing the audio file thing, and the thing is, the companies don't really recognize wiki's as a platform to hold copyright objects, and they pretty much only focus on youtube, so its really up to you if you would like them.
i was also wondering, as i would love to help edit the episode pages, would you prefer the characters in apperance list to be in bullet form or number form? (this question also applies for the insert song)
sorry for asking so many questions, but i have two more suggestions to make:
1. color coding. i have a great template for this on the wiki i work frequently. this can be used for those who are really interested in who sings what parts for the songs with more than one part, and this can be applied to the romaji section of the lyrics.
2. userboxes. I am literally an expert in this thing and i love making these things. i personally prefer the traditional sizings, so its basically a decoration for your user page to say like: this user is a fan of... blablabla something like that. here's an example:
I'll let Thiswasmadeonawhim decide on the lyrics. She's in charge of the music pages for this wikia.
For userboxes, we'll put that off for now. The main focus for this wikia right now is to fill as much information as we can.
Oh by the way, please check your spelling/typos for your outline. :D
For the lyrics, I was considering doing color coding at the start as well, but then decided that the info had to come out first. So, seeing as the season is over, we can totally start fixing asthetics around here.
I'll also see about trying to make the color of the infoboxes more color customizable according to the album art.
I'm slowly working color into the songs, starting with some easy ones like We are Ayanagi Academy's Kao Council and Kiramekirakira. I'm sitting and listening closely to each line cause I'm a bit too lazy to go look the different parts up.
For lyrics, on numerous different wikis too, (the main song wikis would be Aikatsu, the one i'm working on, love live wiki, pripara wiki) its really either tabber or the switch template, but the switch template is a really annoying template with very specific methods of coding, and i do not recommend using it unless its for small items such as the image on an infobox.
I've just been using the space formating ever since I was the coding of lyrics for the Yowapeda wiki, and have been rolling with it since. I'm okay with the poem format and I plan on implementing that in to other wikis I work on as well, probably the Ace of Diamond wiki first...
Also, don't get me started on switch. Switch made me want to pull out my hair so many times when I was trying to adjust some infoboxes.
Hmm. Well for the time being, we'll focus on filling in the acts. It's not an urgent matter anyway. I'll take a look at the formatting on the CD pages cause some of them don't have the tabs for some reason. I suspect it's because of where you edit from that causes the issue.
I always edit through the source editor. Sometimes if a page is edited via visual and then saved, the tabber code isn't shown and the page is lengthened. But once you refresh or navigate away from the page and come back, the code should be read properly.
You can contact Thiswasmadeonawhim about this. She is in charge of the music pages and most of the templates for this wikia. She will probably help you add the lyrics in since she is the one who done all of them.
